Labiaplasty - In a recent conversation, someone raised an interesting point. Girls, for the most part, are more comfortable removing their tops than they're with removing their bottoms. So naturally this got me thinking what is it about the vulva that makes it so hard to expose? Why are http://sagamorehotel.us/__media__/js/netsoltrademark.php?d=nudistpics.xyz/albums/playful-young-fkk-chicks.html about their vaginas? (Yes, I understand "vagina" is not exactly the same as "vulva" in medical terms. Yet many women still use "vagina" to reference both their whole genitals or merely their vaginal canal.)

Therefore I started speaking to friends and folks from the sex positive community, with the hopes of understanding this problem better.

Labiaplasty Described:

Apparently, the demand for this fairly new process continues to be growing at a rapid pace.

After studying online, I was horrified to read some of the many websites and posts that came up. More and more teenage girls are going under the knife and getting their labia altered. Since this procedure is not covered by most insurances, you will find girls out there who are performing a sort of female vaginal mutilation on themselves! Only the mere notion of a young girl feeling so unhappy with her body that she would be willing to take a knife to herself is something which I can't seem to let go of.

We are always bombarded by pictures of what "the ideal body" is and the all famous or infamous "How To Look Good Naked" diets. Everywhere you look you see pictures with this new societal depiction of the perfect abs, breasts, buttocks, penises and vulvas. What happened to the beauty of diversity? We are not all born with precisely the same bodies and look, and that's a great thing!

During the late 16th century and into the early 17th century people found substantial women to function as ideal. One of the greatest artists to depict the great thing about the female kind during that span is Peter Paul Rubens. Today the symbol of an ideal girl is Barbie. and she doesn't have a vagina!!!

I am not one to believe that there should be any standard for what is considered beautiful. The shift from large, female and voluptuous to childlike and malnourished is so striking. To the point where natural beauty has gotten somewhat of an oxymoron. It appears like more and more women are starting to consider that it costs a ton of money and countless hours in recovery rooms and fitness centers to look naturally beautiful.

This site post will provide an overview of what the labiaplasty procedure involves, its complications and data. In the next post, I am going to look into why labiaplasty has unexpectedly become a fashionable cosmetic surgical procedure for women.

Labiaplasty Procedural Review

Labiaplasty, occasionally known as vaginal rejuvenation, is a purely aesthetic process that includes cutting outer skin that surrounds the vagina, called the labia minora. The first printed operation occurred in 1983, with official procedural updates in 1998 and 2005. Initially, doctors performed the process to create uniformity in cases of congenital disfigurement and as a component of sexual reassignment surgery.

It was not long before women found labiaplasty as a way of reconstructing their pre-baby appearance. Some patients combine the procedure with other vaginal surgeries like internal tightening.

While some girls pursue the operation for medical reasons, for example regular pain and discomfort from larger labia, this indicates that most women do it for decorative reasons. They may be just unhappy with the way their labia seems, ie their span, protrusion, colour, asymmetry etc. The labia minora actually vary significantly in appearance. They range in color from pink to dark brown, can be wrinkled or not, symmetrical or not, etc. Though labia may seem like extra skin you can do without, they really serve many different functions, including increased sexual sense. They puff up when a girl is aroused and are actually said to ease penetration. When there is an issue with labia "getting in the way" during sex, as some girls assert, it may mean that she isn't aroused enough yet for penetration.

Potential Complications After A Labiaplasty Process:

Potential complications and aftereffects include desensitizing of the clitoris or vagina, infection, bleeding, pain, hematoma, sexual dysfunction, changes in pigmentation, excess scar tissue build-up and permanent scarring. Asymmetrical labia can occur when an inexperienced physician performs the operation. In infrequent instances, the vagina tightens up and causes difficulties with sexual intercourse or childbirth. What are https://djebel-club.ru/r.php?r=nudismhq.com/contents/24452190/1.html -term effects? Physicians do not know yet! There have been no substantial findings or research to discover its long term effects. In 2007, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists warned against labiaplasty and other vaginal cosmetic operations due to their perilous hazards and lack of documented procedures. ACOG also said that they do not consider labiaplasty a routine, approved process and expressed anxiety over surgeons advertising it as such. Based on the info supplied at the 2013 ASAPS meeting in Nyc, larger numbers of women and young girls are willing to brave the risks for a more "attractive" vagina.

Labiaplasty Patient Data

It has apparently become the most common female genital cosmetic procedure. Based on business data, approximately 3,500 processes occurred in 2012. This marked a 64 percent increase over operations performed in 2011. The fact that more women in their 20s and adolescent girls are requesting labiaplasty processes continues to baffle shrinks. Preliminary data shows multiple variables currently affecting younger generations.

Botched Labiaplasty Procedures:

Just that subtitle sounds frightening, doesn't it? There are two other significant things to note about labiaplasty. One, it's successful. And two, it's largely unregulated. There is no special certification, no educational courses or licenses needed to perform labiaplasty. So there are inexperienced surgeons and even gynecologists trying what resembles a simple process. As a result a number of operations are actually done with the objective of fixing botched efforts at labiaplasty.
